What this covers
GIC Tracker ("the App") is developed to help users track Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) they hold across financial institutions. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.
Data you enter
All GIC information you enter, including institution name, principal amount, interest rate, term, and maturity date, is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we have no access to it.
The App does not connect to your bank accounts and does not use any network connection to store or sync your financial data.
Notifications
If you enable maturity reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device using Apple's UserNotifications framework. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device and are not sent through any external server.
Advertising and tracking
The App contains no advertising. We do not use any advertising or analytics SDKs, we do not access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, financial account numbers, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any personally identifying information. We do not operate any servers that store your GIC data.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
