Impulse

Privacy

Nothing leaves

Impulse has no account and no server, and makes no network requests at all. Your pay settings, purchase entries, goals, and categories are written to your device and stay there. There are no ads, no trackers, and no analytics.

What we collect

Impulse does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. There is no account system, no sign-in, and no Impulse server of any kind. All information you enter into the app, including your pay rate, weekly hours, purchase entries, goals, and categories, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. We have no way to access, recover, or view it.

Advertising and third-party data

Impulse contains no advertising, no third-party ad networks, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Your device advertising identifier (IDFA) is never requested or used, and Impulse does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Purchases

Every feature of Impulse is free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so no payment information is ever involved.

Notifications

If you enable reminders to revisit a purchase decision later, Impulse schedules a local notification on your device through iOS. This is handled entirely on-device and is not sent through any external server.

Children's privacy

Impulse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Impulse after a change means you accept the updated policy.
