Help with the app that prices a purchase in your own work time, then gives you a way to sleep on it.
Everything is free. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no network access at all.
Enter your pay and weekly hours during onboarding, and Impulse converts any price you check into the hours (and minutes) of work it costs, based on your take-home rate. Use after-tax income, so the number reflects what you actually bring home.
Defer it for ten minutes or until tomorrow, or add your own revisit windows in Settings. When the reminder arrives, its buttons — "I bought it" and "I decided against it" — resolve the decision straight from the notification, without opening the app.
Every purchase you decide against adds its work time back to a running total. It's the plainest measure of what the pause is worth to you — hours of your life you didn't have to trade.
Yes. Set a goal with a target amount and, if you want, a date, and give it its own icon and colour. The goal card tracks the pace you're keeping against it.
Income profiles let you keep several — say a day job and freelance work. The active profile is the one driving your work-time calculations, and you can switch between them at any time.
Add Quick Price Check, Time Kept, Spending Breakdown, or Weekly Time Kept from your Home Screen or Lock Screen widget gallery. They update automatically whenever you log or defer a purchase in the app.
Six themes ship with the app — Warm Paper, Night Shift, Sunset, Forest, Ocean, and Berry. Each one restyles the whole app: the accent colour, the buttons, and the result card.
Yes. Impulse has no account and no server. Everything — your wage, entries, and history — stays on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, and the app makes no network requests at all. Details are on the privacy page.
Settings ▸ Your data clears your pay settings and every saved decision from this device. Deleting the app does the same, and takes the rest with it.
